The Multnomah Lions volleyball team was on the road again this weekend for a pair of matches in the Seattle area against Cascade Conference rivals Evergreen State College and Northwest University.
Â
On Friday, against the Geoducks of Evergreen State, the Lions were forced to juggle their lineup due to a starter's unavailability, and never gained momentum as they were swept in 3 sets.
Danae Stokes continued her streak of hot hitting, however, with 8 kills, and
Jocelynn Porter contributed 5 kills and 2 blocks to the Lions effort.
Lauren Porter added 8 digs for the Lions. The Geoducks were led on offense by Lily Stewart's 11 kills, while Rylee Gram tallied 11 digs.
Â
The Lions returned to the Seattle area on Saturday, to face off against the Eagles of Northwest University. The Lions started strongly in each set, and were able to jump out to leads, before fading to finish.
Alyssa Aubrey finished with 2 blocks, and
Ashley Allred had 2 block and 5 kills for the Lions, with
Lauren Porter finishing with 11 digs. The Eagles were led by Karste Wright with 12 kills, while Abbie Broussard added 9 kills and 4 blocks to Northwest's effort.
