LA GRANDE, OR- A short-handed Multnomah roster proved to be the difference maker Saturday afternoon at the Quinn Coliseum as the Lions fell to Eastern Oregon 102-93.
First Half
After Multnomah leading for the first few minutes the first half, with their largest lead of 6 points, Eastern Oregon was able to end the half to go into the break with a narrow 41-43 lead. Multnomah thrived from the free throw line, shooting 5-5 in the first half and outshot Eastern Oregon in three pointers while shooting 40% to Eastern Oregon's 29%. The Mountaineers had a balanced scoring attack in the first half as multiple scorers scored led by Cooper Lumsden with an impressive 20 points.
Second Half
Eastern Oregon continued to extend its lead early in the second half, as the Mountaineers' largest lead came with 12 points. Their lead was led by Cooper Lumsden who perfected 12 straight free throws along with teammate Preston Chandler who sunk 17 of 22. Multnomah did its best to cut into Eastern Oregon's lead, as the Lions trimmed Eastern Oregon's advantage by shooting 55% of their three pointers.

Multnomah will welcome CCC opponents, Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech, to Portland on January 14th and 15th. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. Games will be live streamed.
