Big Win Over Bushnell

EUGENE, Ore. – The Multnomah University Lions earned their first road win of the season, after defeating the Beacons of Bushnell University with a final score of 3-2.

The victory was nothing short of exciting after the game winning goal came just a minute after the Beacons had tied up the game at 2-2. It was a well fought game through the end, with both teams playing even on the stat line.

Not wasting any time to get on the board, Noe Magana scored just four and a half minutes in after he was assisted from Alejandro Jaramillo.

Bushnell responded in the seventeenth minute after capitalizing on a 35-yard free kick, tying up the game.
In the thirtieth minute, Alejandro Jaramillo dished out another assist to take the lead. This goal came after Jaren Bowler scored off a Jaramillo corner kick. This was the final goal of the half, making the score going into the break 2-1 in the Lions favor.

The Beacons tied up the game in the sixty-third minute after another free kick. With a quick response, Axel Mbuyu scored unassisted just a minute later to put Multnomah ahead.

Not only was this game a big win for the season, but it was also the first time Multnomah has defeated Bushnell (formerly Northwest Christian) in the programs history. The team is proud of their efforts and knows that it will continue to be a grind as they face every conference opponent.
