The Lions pulled off a 72-69 victory over the Geoducks on Saturday night to complete their season sweep against The Evergreen State College, and more importantly keep thier playoff hopes alive.
Multnomah was led by Justin Martin, who had 33 points. Trey Fountain added 17 points, Jaeden Ingram had 12 points and Forrest Smith recorded 10.
Evergreen was led by Elijah Fuller who had 24 points, Glorie Biongo added 15 points, Mana Niu added 10 points.
The Geoducks shot 37.1 percent from the floor to the Lions' 39.1 percent. Multnomah recorded eight steals and had nine turnovers.
The game was tied for five times and had nine lead changes. Multnomah had its largest lead of 12 in the second half, but Evergreen was able to come back and the game went back and forth. The Lions hit their free throws in the end and took the win.
Coach Bickley had this to say about the win: "On a night where shots weren't falling, we found a way to get a huge road win. Steph had 6 blocks and Trey, Jaeden, Justin, and Forrest did all of our scoring. It was a gutty performance tonight."
A big weekend looms for the Lions as they look to challenge Northwest Christian and Corban at home; both teams the Lions have defeated on the road this year.
