The Multnomah University women's basketball team wrapped up their 2019-2020 season on Saturday night with a match-up against The Oregon Institute of Technology. The Hustlin' Owls defended their home court and defeated the Lions 105-65.
The Lions posted 4 players in double figures:
Alaygza Portis with 20 points,
Rachelle Tau with 16 points and 10 rebounds,
Dalila Rincan with 15 points, and
Jessica Parker with 10.
The Hustlin' Owls found their rhythm on the offensive side of the ball, and they moved the ball efficiently dishing out 28 assists on the night compared to the Lions 15.
Krisitin Farrell led OIT with 17 points while Makaila Napoleon dropped in 16. Maddyson Tull poured in 13 points while Emma McKennery added 11 of her own.
The Lions finish the season 5-22 including 2-18 in Conference play.
Alaygza Portis finishes the season as the Lions leading scorer at 12.9 ppg, while senior
Erykah Campbell finished right behind her averaging a double-double of 12.5 points and 11.2 rebounds. Campbell also swatted away 86 blocks on the season, breaking her total of 70 from last year and setting a new MU all-time record.
