PORTLAND, Ore. - The Multnomah University women's basketball team faced off against The Evergreen State College at Jim Skagen Court on Friday night, but the Geoducks walked away with a 56-74 victory over MU.
Dalila Rincan led the Lions in scoring with 20 points, including going 9-10 from the free throw line, and
Erykah Campbell had a moster double-double of 13 points and 19 rebounds.
The Geoducks were led by Anna Cook who scored 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while Trinity Betoney scored 18 points. Angela Sikora and Meriily Jones each had ten points as well.
Both teams played aggressive on the defensive end, as MU forced 22 turnovers from the Geoducks, but the Lions struggled with their ball security and turned the ball over 25 times on the night. The Geoducks scored 25 points off of Lions turnovers, while the Lions had 17 points of Geoduck turnovers.Â
Up next for the Lions is a matchup with Northwest on Saturday night at Jim Skagen Court at 5:30 PM as the Lions search for their first conference win.
