McMinnville, Ore. – The Multnomah University Men's Soccer team took on Linfield College on Thursday night, but fell to the Wildcats 1-8.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The Lions did not back down from the challenge on Thursday night, and they showed a lot of pride and perseverance amidst their moments of inexperience finishing the night with 2 shots on goal and 10 saves as a team.
- The Wildcats of Linfield College got off to a quick start with Shoma Okita dribbling up the left side of the field and assisting teammate Espindola Cruz for the first points of the night in the second minute of play. Cruz added a goal in the 20th minute of play, and another goal in the 60th minute of play to lead the Wildcats with three goals.
- Cruz wasn't the only star on Linfield's roster as the Wildcats got a variety of scoring contributions on Thursday night with goals from Henry Rosenfeld in the 22nd minute, Connor Heintz in the 35th minute, Shoma Okita in the 62nd minute, and Ryan Kister in the 69th minute.
- Even with the odds against them the Lions refused to roll over and showed their competitive spirit late in the contest when Alan Tovar sent a long pass to Matthew Aguilera in the 86th minute with which Aguilera scored and allowed the Lions to end their night with a point on the board.
