Portland, Ore. – The Multnomah University women's volleyball team faced off against the Beacons of Northwest Christian University on Saturday night, losing in three sets (15-25), (20-25), (14-25).

GAME SUMMARY:
In the first set, the Lions and Beacons traded points until the score was tied 4-4 but some Lions errors combined with kills from NCU seniors Katie Allen and Halle Neaumann sparked the Beacons to go on a 18-9 run, and put them in prime position to take the first set 15-25.
The second set started in similar fashion to the first with both teams trading points until the score was tied 4-4, but the Lions made fewer errors and stayed right with NCU for the majority of the set. A
Taryn Frey kill from
Amanda Holm set the score to 17-19, but the Lions could not get any closer, and NCU took the second set 20-25.
With full momentum, NCU took advantage of their 13-21 lead and held off the Lions to wrap up the night.
KEY PERFORMERS:
Junior
Kamaile Labanon lead the Lions with 7 kills, while Seniors
Taryn Frey and
Taylor Howie each added 6 kills of their own.
Freshmen
Amanda Holm put dished out 10 assists, and Freshmen
Emma Morcom distributed 8 assists.
The Lions ended the night with 20 kills, compared to NCU's 28.
Makenna Northern lead NCU with 22 assists, while Katie Allen added 10 kills.

th at 7:00 PM, and then travel to La Grande, Oregon to play against Eastern Oregon University on Saturday, October 5
