PORTLAND, ORE. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team put together their best performance of the season only to be spoiled in a hard fought 2-3 loss to the Beacons from Northwest Christian University.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The Lions drew first blood in the 19th minute on a 25-yard strike from Jake O'Neil that found the upper left corner of the net to put MU up 1-0.
- NCU scored the equalizer with only :30 left in the half as Paul Zarkin corralled a bouncing loose ball and tucked it away to make the score 1-1 going into half-time.
- In the second half it was NCU who struck first, but not until the 75th minute when Nicolas Schapochnik scored on a through pass from Oswaldo Ramirez, making it 2-1 in favor of the Beacons.
- The Lions didn't take long to answer when Samual Nicolas turned on a free-kick pass from Ren Beasler, just inching past the NCU keeper, Julian Hernandez to tie the game back at 2-2.
- NCU ended the tie in the 82nd minute with a goal from Sanchez off an assist from Kinkade Barreiro. The Beacons managed to hold on to their 3-2 lead to take their second CCC victory of the season.
