PORTLAND – A defensive fourth quarter led the Multnomah University women's basketball team to a 60-54 victory over Evergreen State and a spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament presented by U.S. Bank.
With a guaranteed spot in the tournament, the Lions are playing for seeding in tomorrow night's contest as a win will move them to the seventh seed in the eight-team tournament.

GAME SUMMARY:
- Both teams battled throughout the first three quarters of play with neither one able to gain a real advantage.
- At the start of the fourth quarter, Evergreen held a 45-44 lead over MU before a 12-7 run by the Lions.
- MU held the Geoducks scoreless for the final two minutes of the contest to hold on to the victory.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Three Lions finished in double figures in points with Alaygza Portis lead MU with 18 points on the night.
- Following her was Sequoia Wheeler with 16 points while Erykah Campbell tallied a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
- For Evergreen, Angela Sikora finished with 18 points and Alexcis Higgoinbotham added 14.
