Comeback Bid Falls Short for the Lions

PORTLAND – The Multnomah University women's basketball team fell short of a comeback after a big fourth quarter performance by Corban University who left Portland with a 72-60 victory over the Lions on Jim Skagen Court.

  • Corban edged out the Lions in the opening quarter of play, outscoring MU 20-13.
  • After offensive struggles plagued both teams in the second, Corban took a 31-23 lead into the halftime break.
  • The Lions stormed back in the third quarter, totaling 27 points to take a two-point lead heading to the final quarter of play.
  • The Warriors found an offensive serge in the fourth, tallying 24 points to only 10 from the Lions.
