CALDWELL, Idaho - On the second day of the Taco Bell Shootout Tournament at the College of Idaho, the Multnomah University Lions avenged their loss from Friday night with a 126-94 victory over Portland Bible College.
The Lions got back on track to their red-hot shooting and hit 26 of 51 threes, and of course the three point barrage was started by none other than
Justin Martin. 7 of the 26 Multnomah three's were knocked down by Martin as he came out firing against PBC scoring 38 points and dishing out 9 assists.
Junior
Forrest Smith shot the ball with confidence and scored 20 points, while
Zach Richardson added 15 of his own.
Senior sharpshooter
Luke Thomas hit his first of two threes with 12:50 left in the first half, finishing the night with 10 points, and
Wallace Ungwiluk provided instant defense off the Lions bench with a game high 5 steals.
On the other side, Moses Mcewen had 20 points and 8 rebounds for the Wildcats and Aaron Deatherage scored 15 points as well.
Head Coach
Curt Bickley was happy with the effort his team played with, "It was a great shooting night all around.
Luke Thomas was a bucket off the bench for us."
