PORTLAND, Ore. - The Multnomah University women's volleyball team faced off against the
25th ranked College of Idaho
Yotes, but it was the
Yotes who won in three sets 15-25, 18-25, 11-25.
In their final game, seniors
Taryn Frey and
Taylor Howie lead the way for the Lions, both getting 7 kills, and sophomore
Serenity Lomprey added 5 kills of her own.
Amanda Holm dished out 14 assists, and
Alyssa Mehalovich continued to be the heart of the Multnomah defense by leading the team with 7 digs.
The Yotes showed why they are ranked as one of the best teams in the nation with Jordyn Boswell finding a way to get 12 kills and Abigail Guinn dishing out 24 assists.
It was Senior night for Multnomah University and the final game for
Taryn Frey, Taylor
Howie, and
Maile Kam. All three seniors have been
invaluable to the program here at Multnomah University.
Taryn Frey has been on the Multnomah University volleyball roster for the past two seasons, and she will be graduating with a degree in Exercise Science. Taryn has 222 career kills and 37 digs as a Lion. Her career high in kills was 16 against New Hope Christian earlier this year.
Taylor Howie has also spent the last two years on the roster at Multnomah University and will be graduating in the spring with a degree in Business with an emphasis on marketing. Taylor has 136 career kills and 94 digs as a Multnomah Lion. Her career high in kills is 11 (twice) against Northwest Christian and Walla Walla University.
Maile Kam has been on the volleyball roster for the past four years, and Maile will be graduating with a degree in Business and Organizational Psychology. Maile has 636 career kills, 64 assists, and 437 digs as a Lion. Her career high in kills is 9 against Warner Pacific earlier this year.
These three ladies have been excellent role models, leaders, and competitors in their time at Multnomah, and we wish them nothing but the best in their future endeavors.
