Portland, Ore. – The Multnomah University women's basketball team gave fans much to be excited about on Saturday when they defeated Yellowstone Christian College in their season opener 69-37.

The Lions were dominant in the paint on both ends of the floor from start to finish, led by forward
Rachelle Tau who had 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward
Alaygza Portis who had 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Erykah Campbell snatched up 8 boards as well as MU outrebounded YCC 46-22 for the game.

The Lions played a fast-paced offense and finished the night with 15 assists, 5 of which came from freshman guard
Dalila Rincan in her first game as a Lion, and as a team went 8-24 from the three-point line.

For Yellowstone Christian, forward Hannah Hayes lead the team with 14 points and forward Aleita Ampaian added 10 points as well.
