Lions Fall to Carroll College in Final Home Game of the Year

Portland, Ore. - The Multnomah University women's soccer team faced-off against Carrol College on Saturday morning at the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex, but it was the Fighting Saints who walked away victorious 0-5.

GAME SUMMARY:
The Lions played a solid game on Saturday morning, but Carrol College started their scoring early when Brynn Walker scored in the 6th minute of the game.
The Lions played aggressive defense and kept the Fighting Saints at bay until the 28th minute when Katie Martin found a gap in Multnomah's defense and capitalized with her first goal of the evening.

Carrol College kept their foot on the gas and scored again in the 36th minute to put the score 0-3 thanks to a goal by Carsyn Kraft.

In the second half, the Fighting Saints continued to battle the Lions and scored in the 52nd minute when Makayla Welch capitalized on a clever pass from teammate Alexa Fries.

The Fighting Saints final goal of the night came from Blair Stapleton in the 82nd minute, putting Carrol College up 0-5.

The Lions ended the night with 4 shots and 10 saves, all of which were by keeper Trisha.
