Portland, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team faced off against the Eagles of Northwest University on Saturday evening at the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex, but ultimately it was the Eagles who overcame a slow first half to defeat MU 0-4.

GAME SUMMARY:
It was a defensive grind for most of the first half as neither team was allowing the other to get into any sort of an offensive flow. Northwest University finally connected with the first score of the game in the 42
nd minute right before the half.
The second half was in the favor of the Eagles, as they added 3 more goals to their score; Leon Bormann in the 66
th minute, Justin Harden in the 68
th minute, and Leon Bormann again in the 72
nd minute.
Sophomore Forward Jason Monterosso attempted two shots for the Lions, but neither connected. On the other hand, the Eagles finished the night with 28 shots, 16 of which were shots on goal.

Ivan Morales collected 12 saves in a defensive effort for the Lions.
