EUGENE – Multnomah's three-point offense was stalled on Friday as the men's basketball team fell just short at Northwest Christian, losing 89-93 on the road.

GAME SUMMARY:

• Shooting foes plagued the Lions, shooting 2-of-15 from deep range in the first half.
• Despite the struggles, MU kept the game close, heading into the locker room down 49-40.
• Down by 24 in the second half, the Lions climbed back in, cutting the lead to six, 78-72 with just over five minutes to play.
• NCU found just enough offense to keep the lead, edging out the Lions.
• The Beacons finished 45.7 percent shooting from the field while MU finished 37.3 percent overall and 24.3 percent from three-point.

 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Justin Martin led the Lions with 33 points while Brett Blackstock added 16 points followed by 14 points from Ben Grandle.
• Grandle added 12 rebounds while Stepan Zavydovskyy collected 11 boards and five points.
