ASHLAND – The Multnomah University men's basketball team came up just short of a season sweep of Southern Oregon, losing to the Raiders 100-90 on the road.

GAME SUMMARY:

• After starting the first half even, Southern Oregon pulled away first after building a 13-point lead with three minutes to go before halftime.
• MU scored seven straight points to cut the lead to five at the break.
• SOU built their highest lead of the night during the second half, going up by as much as 19 points.
• The Lions kept fighting, bring the deficit down to eight points but couldn't find the offense to overcome the Raiders.

 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Justin Martin led the Lions with 39 total points going 7-for-7 from the free throw line and making six threes. Behind him was Zach Richardson with 16 points.
• Brett Blackstock finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds while Jason Wyncoop added nine points.

The Lions continue play tomorrow night as they travel to Klamath Falls to take on Oregon Tech.
