PORTLAND – The Multnomah University women's soccer team had a tough opening to their Cascade Collegiate Conference season, falling to Warner Pacific 5-1 at the Eastside Timbers Soccer Complex on Saturday.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The Lions struck first in the contest as Desiree Arocha collected the ball at the top of the box, turned and sent the ball to the top corner of the goal to give MU a 1-0 lead.
- With just under five minutes to go in the first half, the game was tied as the Knights sent a cross in front of the goal, bouncing off the head of a MU defender before crossing the line for an own goal.
- The second half was all Knights as they tallied four goals, scoring the winning-goal in the 52nd minute.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Arocha led the Lions with three shots, scoring the first Cascade Conference goal in program history.
- Lexis Law collected five saves on the day between the posts.
