KLAMATH FALLS – The Multnomah University volleyball team struggled to get the offense going on Friday night as they dropped a three-set match on the road at Oregon Tech.
 
 
THE BASICS:

Records: OIT (8-5, 3-3 CCC), MU (1-11, 0-5 CCC)

GAME SUMMARY:

• The Lions worked a 6-1 lead in the opening set before taking an 11-6 lead midway.
• After trading points, OIT closed out the first set on a 13-3 run to steal an early advantage.
• The Owls earned a .245 hitting percentage on the night while the Lions managed to hit .061 with 21 errors.
• OIT worked a 7-1 lead to begin the second set of play while the Lions fought back to come within two points but couldn't overcome the early deficit.
• The third and final set remained close before the Owls tallied the final five points of the match.

 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Miranda Halverson led the Lions with eight total kills while Sydney Amundson and Taryn Frey both tallied six kills on the night.
• Marissa Rhodes dished out 18 assists with eight digs and Rachel Leshikar collected 12 digs on the night.
