PORTLAND – In their first home game of the season, the Multnomah University men's soccer team picked up a win on Saturday, defeating Soka University 2-0 at the Eastside Timbers Soccer Complex.

GAME SUMMARY:
- Soka put the pressure on MU early, hitting four shots on goal within the opening 15 minutes.
- Lions' keeper Manuel Guillermo-Olivares kept the score even, recording four saves in the first half.
- In the 79th minute, Noe Favila gave the Lions the lead after drawing a foul in the box and converting a penalty kick for his first goal of the season.
- In the final two minutes of play, MU added to their lead as Bryan Lobato scored his first career goal, hitting a shot into the keeper before recovering the ball again and hitting into an open net.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Kelvin Perez finished with three shots on the day while Marcus Krause, Favila and Moises Mejia each recorded two shots.
- Guillermo-Olivares finished with eight saves to earn the shutout.
