KIRKLAND – The Multnomah University men's basketball team suffered a setback in their Cascade Conference opener, falling to Northwest University on the road 89-64 on Friday.

GAME SUMMARY:
- Offense was hard to come by for the Lions who struggled shooting the ball, making only nine threes on the night.
- Both teams traded off buckets to start the night before Northwest pulled ahead, taking a 44-30 lead into the halftime break.
- Shooting woes continued for the Lions in the second half, managing a shooting percentage of 25 percent on the night, going 19 percent from the three-point line.
- Northwest kept their lead throughout the night, shooting 42 percent overall.
