CALDWELL – The Multnomah University men's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season on Friday, falling to Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) 89-83 on day one of College of Idaho's Domino's Classic.

GAME SUMMARY:
- MU led through the beginning of the first half, but a scoring slump gave Embry-Riddle the chance to come back, taking a 10-point lead into the halftime break, 50-40.
- The Lions shot 42 percent from the field, including a 36 percent mark from three-point range while Embry-Riddle shot 46 percent on the night.
- MU outscored their opponent in the second half, 43-39, but couldn't overcome the first half deficit.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Justin Martin led the Lions with 32 points while Ben Grandle added 22 points of his own. Both played hit seven three-pointers on the day.
- Brett Blackstock finished with a double-double, collecting 11 rebounds while adding 14 points.
- Briggs Young totaled eight assists while Martin finished with five assists.
