NEWBERG, Ore. – The Multnomah University women's basketball team came up against an NCAA Division III powerhouse in George Fox University, falling 91-52 in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.
Senior
Miranda Schmillen led the way for the Lions, recording a team high 14 points, going 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. Following her was
Lacie Kamper with 10 points and four rebounds while
Erin Estabrook finished with five points.
As a team, the Lions shot 35 percent from the field and collected 23 points off the bench.
For the eighth-ranked Bruins, Tavin Headings led the way with 16 points followed by Kimberly Frost (13 points) and Kaitlin Jamieson (10).
The Lions return to action tomorrow night at home, welcoming in another NCAA DIII school in Pacific University.
