Lions Close Out Season with 3-1 Loss to Great Falls

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team struggled to get any pressure offensively, closing out the final game of the year with a 3-1 loss at the University of Great Falls on Saturday afternoon.

A five minute defensive breakdown by the Lions was enough for the Argos as the scored their first goal in the 12th minute as Adrian Gomez dribbled around the defense, and again in the 17th minute as Mohamed Oulare converted a penalty kick.

Great Falls took the 2-0 lead into the break despite pressuring the Lions defense with 15 of their 32 shots in the first half

MU keeper Manny Guillermo recorded his sixth game this season with double digit saves, tying his mark in yesterday's game with 14 saves. He will finish the year with 147 saves.

With just over a minute to play in the game, the Lions' offense found a spark from Marcus Krause as he netted the only goal for MU, landing the ball in the upper left corner of a free kick.
