PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific used a field goal percentage of 60 percent to complete the season sweep of the Lions, defeating Multnomah 102-79 on Tuesday night on Bart Valentine Court.
The Lions fall to 4-16 overall on the year and 1-11 in the Cascade Conference while the Knights move to 14-7, 9-3 CCC.
Four Lions scored double figures in points, led by junior
Thomas Simien who totaled 23 points and added 10 rebounds.
Blake Updike tallied 15 points and eight rebounds while
Jordan Paris scored 14 points and
Mikey Chown added a career high 11 points.
As a team, MU hit 11 three points in the game against the Knights, with Chown knocking down three shots from behind the arc.
The Knight took control of the game early in the first half, jumping out to a 21-5 lead after a 12-0 run.
Six different Knight totaled 10 points or more with Collin Malcolm earning 21 points. De'Jon Bowman completed a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds while Franky Johnson Xavier Cannefax totaled 16 and 13 points respectively.
MU will return to Jim Skagen Court this weekend as they host Oregon Tech on Friday and Southern Oregon on Saturday.
