MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – The Multnomah University men's basketball team competed in the first exhibition of the season, a 115-71 loss to Western Washington at Skagit Valley College on Saturday night.
The Lions remain at 1-3 on the year as exhibition games do not count towards overall records or season stats.
Thomas Simien led the way for the Lion's offense for the first time this year, recording 17 points off of 7-of-14 shooting in 24 minutes of play. Following him was
Ben Grandle and
Jason Wyncoop with 12 points each and
Preston Brooks with 10 points.
The Lions shot 33.8 percent from the field while also shooting 86.4 percent from the free throw line, hitting 19-of-22 attempts.
Coming up next for the Lions will be a road contest against Pacific Union College on Friday, Nov. 20.
