LEWISTON, Idaho – The Multnomah University men's basketball team competed in their first road game of the season, a 117-75 loss to Lewis-Clark State College on Saturday afternoon.
The defending Frontier Conference champion Warriors improve to 3-0 while the Lions move to 1-2 on the year.
Senior
Jordan Paris led the offense for the Lions, recording a team high 19 points, including four 3-pointers while also coming up with 11 rebounds. Following him was freshman
Ben Grandle with 16 points and senior
Blake Updike with 15 points.
Thomas Simien notched the second double-double for MU, grabbing a team high 14 rebounds and adding 12 points.
Lewis-Clark finished the game shooting 50 percent from the field, led by Cammie Lewis with 21 points. A total of five Warriors ended the night in double figures in points. LCSC totaled 21 points off of turnovers and tallied 14 fast break points against MU.
The Lions will return home next week as they play host to West Coast Baptist College on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Jim Skagen Court.
